We love our neighborhood!  We love that we’re a shop surrounded by family homes and schools, instead of office buildings and skyscrapers.  We love the sense of community, and our pride in being part of that community.  And, this Saturday we’re giving back!  We’re partnering with Friends of Chapman to give 20% of ALL sales on November 10th to Chapman School!

Friends of Chapman is a volunteer group that organizes Chapman School fundraisers throughout the year.  This year’s goal is to raise $200,000 to help maintain current levels of Music, PE and Technology teaching positions, provide Education Assistants to classrooms where support is needed most and continue enrichment programs such as partnerships with OMSI, field trips, Science Fair, Art Ball, artist-in-residency programs, library books, musicals, field day, teacher allocations for classroom supplies and activities, and much more!

Fundraising events include the Chapman Auction (coming up on November 30th!), the Swift Family Fun Run and Carnival, Dining and Shopping Nights, business partnerships, and individual donations.  For more information, please visit www.friendsofchapman.com

We’re proud to be a Friend of Chapman.  Please help us support Chapman School!

Click, click, click – that’s our knitting and crochet needles whipping out purple caps for the second annual “Click for Babies” campaign!  Click for Babies is working to prevent shaken baby syndrome and raise awareness of “the period of purple crying”, the normal period when babies cry, often inconsolably.  Last year the group collected over 5,000 purple caps and distributed them at family birth centers and public health offices throughout Oregon.

You can help by knitting or crocheting purple baby caps now through October.  Visit www.clickforbabies.org to find patterns, donation sites and more.  Thanks for helping!
